WP4. Scale up & Numbering up led by VITO. In WP4 the scale up effects of intensified biocatalytic processes will be investigated.The opportunities for numbering up ml or µl scale reactor systems from WP1 and 2 will be studied and compared with a conventional volume up approach. This will yield in guidelines for decision making between scale up vs numbering up approaches. CFD modelling and simulations developed in WP 9 as well as practical experiments using parallel reactors and scaled-up equipment will be used.
